They don't deserve a star! I visted this business on the first week of September this year. I was driving by and saw that there was a pastry shop open in the area. I was so excited that I walked in to buy a cake or a platter of desserts for guests that were arriving unexpectedly to my home. Well the woman behind the counter named Nicole the owners wife looked at me right in the eye and rolled her eyes and turned around and just ignored me the whole time I was there, she didn't even greet me at all. There was a elderly woman sitting at a table talking to someone or talking on the phone. Anyway they refused to assist me as a to be customer. I stood there feeling helpless so I left without anyone offering to help me or keepIng me from walking out of their business without buying anything. My only thought is that I'm a latin woman I was dressed professionally . A couple days later I called to give it a second chance to speak to the owner and a woman who answered the phone was like very defensive I couldn't speak to no one. She was very rude so I told her about my complaint and she said there was a reason not to service me and I told her that I was going to put a review online and her response was they don't care to go ahead and put a negative reviews. I was shocked to hear this from a business. Normally they do anything to keep you from writing anything negative. But in this case I'm doing so with their permission.

Just came from an event by Wine & Tea Girls, meet up group at the Cake Garden Bakery & Tea House. The food, various scones, pastries, finger sandwiches were beautifully displayed & presented. Service was excellent & I bought some minis & quiche to take home. They have my vote, an extensive array of teas to choose from.

We just came home from the Biscotti baking class at Cake Garden. We did this with six other couples and it was a blast. Chef David was terrific instructing all of us. Ingredients were all pre-measured and everyone received great individual attention. We had coffee and pastries while the biscotti baked . This is a great event and a great introduction to all of the wonderful baked goods at Cake Garden. We are relative new to the area and been looking for a good bakery and in Cake Garden we have found a great bakery. PS THE BISCOTTI ARE TERRIFIC.

Great place for a light bite and/or delicious pastry! Brought my parents for lunch. They had quiche & I had a tuna sandwich. Three clean plates later...the side salad was you as were the pieces of blueberry crumb cake. We liked it so much we are going to have a party for my dad's 100th birthday here! Stop in if you're in the neighborhood!

This place has all the elements of something fantastic, but it just doesn't make the cut. I was ecstatic to fine the little nook near Renaissance Commons, it is quaint cute, and lovely to see the pastry chefs in the back slaving away over tasty treats. My friend and I decided to order a selection of treats to-go, although if we had time we would definitely have eaten there with a cup of tea. The lady said the exotic tea flavors were $3 per tea bag or $6.99 per box... I just thought that was weird. The old lady helping us at the counter was very dithery and had to ask someone else every time I had a question. I ordered a lemon cupcake and a slice of the vegetable quiche. They were boxed up beautifully but I felt the prices were a little steep, my slice of quiche was almost $7. My friend got a selection of the mini treats that were roughly $2.50 each too. Later on when I had time to sit, make tea and devour my lemon cupcake, I found out that it wasn't lemon at all - it was filled with pineapple. There was no trace of lemon at all! I specifically asked what the filling was since the label said lemon! I wasn't very happy at all. Then for the quiche, I took it to work for lunch. When I opened the box I was astounded at what a tiny slither it was - $7, it was barely two mouthfuls. I heated it and ate it and was further underwhelmed. It was underseasoned and just bland. Overall I just find it a shame and bit of a letdown. I was looking forward to making this my go to for gourmet bites, but I think I'll just sick with places in Delray.

Awesome birthday cake! My wife scoured Publix, for our daughters birthday cake (Our usual go-to for Bday cakes) and encountered a bit of difficulty materializing a Owl oriented cake!! We did bit of brainstorming and decided to try out a dedicated bakery. She discovered The Cake Garden Bakery & Tea House. David, (Owner) worked with my wife and developed the perfect cake! It was amazing. A one of kind cake, for our one of kind daughter!! Thank YOU! The cake was heavily anticipated by our guest as the scent of the "made from scratch" whipped cream icing filled the party room. The whipped cream icing with Bavarian cream and strawberries was a delight! You can tell this wasn't some Cool-Whip product. The pricing for the cake was extremely fair especially, when we received exactly what I wanted and more. Honestly, the price really wasn't that much more than a large sheet cake from Publix Bakery. I haven't tried anything else but, if the cake is any indicator of the quality of his creations; I'm in trouble! Looking forward to many more baked goods to keep my inner fat boy happy!

Homemade pastries, cookies, cakes and more! Great little place to treat yourself to coffee and a sweet treat. Made fresh daily in house. You walk in and get delightfully overwhelmed by the smell of fresh baked goods. On the higher end of pricing but small price to pay for fresh homemade treats. You can sit inside or outside while you enjoy your snack. They even have table service. Of course this isn't just a quick stop in. They also cater to weddings and other such events so be sure to book them for your next special day! #wedding #sweetTreats

Move over Cupcake Couture of Delray Beach, I've found a new lover....this place is hands down the best bakery in Southern Palm Beach county, in my opinion at least. The owner REALLY knows how to bake. Brought home some baked goods for my and my hubs. First, the cake pops - red velvet, chocolate dipped cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake. Hubby bit into the flourless chocolate cake, his eyes glazed over, and he told me he needed space because he was "having a moment". Okaaaaay......way to make me feel inadequate! Well the red velvet was also an absolute delight and two bites of sheer perfection as well. DO NOT buy a bunch of these if you are counting calories. Just.....no. Onto the cupcakes....hubs had the carrot cupcake first and all I can say is he became very silent once he started eating it. The chocolate raspberry was my personal fave though - extremely moist, barely sweet chocolate cake topped with an amazingly tart and flavorful frosting full of true raspberry flavor and chocolate crunchies. Other cupcakes we tried, all soooooo good: cannoli cream filled, boston cream pie, chocolate filled with strawberry bavarian cream and topped with the lightest, fluffiest buttercream you could ever imagine and chocolate filled with dulce de leche and topped with candied pecans. There was not a bad one in the bunch. They have other baked goods as well - all sorts of cookies, loaf cakes, layer cakes (many of which look absolutely gorgeous), bread pudding and several varieties of quiche. I also tried the spinach and feta quiche and I can tell you it was the lightest, fluffiest piece of quiche I've ever had, with a to die for flaky pastry crust. You can stop in for lunch as they have tables inside as well. This place has a sign you can barely see from the street, which is a shame because it's such a treasure. Hoping this place stays put because it's going to be my go-to place for all things baked from now on.

Fantastic bakery with delicious treats, beautiful cakes and fabulous atmosphere! I went to a baking class last night and it was an absolute blast! We learned how to make Biscotti, Italian S Cookies, Italian Rainbow cookies and several more. The owner, Chef David, taught the class which was such a treat. Very hands on, informative and delicious! This was the first baking class and they plan on hosting more. I highly recommend attending but register early as space is limited to only about 10 people! I've already registered for their Rustic Baking class June 16th

David took a lot of time to help create our perfect wedding cupcakes! The flavors were as wonderful as they sounded, our delivery was very prompt and the set-up was adjusted due to weather. The design turned out just the way we visioned. Thanks David and Staff!!!!

It pains me to write a negative review, especially about a bakery since I come from one of those old countries that has perfected the art of baked goods, sweets and sugar confectionery (I know I am biased, but simply do not care as I am known to be opinionated). I wanted to check out this bakery for a wedding cake and stopped in last week with fh to get an idea of what we could expect. Our initial meeting went absolutely fine and we were very excited to find out how affordable a cake of our desire was. We were told to please call and make an appointment for a cake tasting and to pick up to 3 flavors to try. I called the next first available business day to set up our appointment and even asked when a good time would be to come in, because I know this place can get busy and I did not want to intrude during the worst time. Day of the appointment comes and we walk in and are greeted by one of the employees behind the counter. I tell her that we have an appointment for a cake tasting and she told us that she'll be right back. After not even a minute she came back and in front of the counter letting us know that we have to reschedule our appointment, because it got too busy and there was not enough time to prepare the samples. I was a bit speechless and must've looked so dumb just staring at her for a few seconds as I then looked back to fh. We tried to come up with another day, but I simply cannot do it during the week, because I work until 6 all the way in Fort Lauderdale and our other weekends until the end of the year and wedding day are pretty much booked since we have other wedding planning and moving into a new place to take care of. Not being able to come up with another date on the spot I told her that I would call to reschedule and we left. But as I was walking to the car, HIGHLY disappointed I couldn't help, but feel angry, because I wish that someone would have taken the time to give us a quick call to let us know that today would not work well for the tasting before driving 45 minutes for a non-tasting and not to mention that the chef did not even take the time to simply apologize, but sent his employee to tell us the bad news without any apologies as well. Closing thought: they lost a customer who was truly excited to have an awesome tasting wedding cake. :*(

I would not go back. The quiche was the worst I've ever had. Dry, tastless and hard. The room was nice. The baked goods were wonderful. The hostess was not very kind when one of us didn't like the tea chosen and asked for a different tea bag. The hostess said you only get one tea bag and that it is for 4 cups of tea. Have you ever read the instruction on a box of tea. One tea bag per cup of tea!!!!

Fabulous new bakery in Boynton Beach. Chef David offers s a rotating menu of sweet breads, cookies, croissants, scones, pastries -- and offers tea and coffee. The location is charming, the service is professional and they even offer high tea service. I find myself there at least once a week.

We stopped in here on a whim and sampled 2 cupcakes, which were excellent so we ordered a July 4th cake for a party. The cake looked great but failed with taste. The cake itself was burnt. All the ends were dark brown - terrible. We were suppose to get mousse but I only tasted a sweet, sweet icing taste. The favor was hazelnut. We paid $38 for an 8" cake and had a 20% off coupon. I would not buy from here again just to get something that just looks nice but can't be eaten. Too bad - hate to say it but I'll go with Publix, at least you can eat the cake.

I came here to order a cake for my husband's birthday. The woman at the counter was very friendly. She gave me an order form to see what they had. The prices are very reasonable and they make all sized cakes ranging from small enough for two people to wedding and event cakes. When I came back for the cake I was happy with it. My husband wanted a vanilla cake with fudge icing. The presentation on the cake was great. They had edible decorations as well as some berries. The cake was delicious.

The other reviewers got the rating right !! Two thumbs up! I predict this small proprietor guy is surely going to be in over his head with wedding functions and events so I'd get there while he still offers over the counter treats.! I will drive an hour for a good baker/bakery. I'll patronize a restaurant only for the joy of finishing the meal by the art of an amazing pastry chef, wouldn't everyone (almost)! Locals ... don't drive far because this pastry chef has it going on, very talented and friendly to engage in conversation and I thought modest about taking a compliment! Keep in mind he doesn't have a large selection but what was there was Ubber Fresh. His specialty is preparing petie fors and sweets for catered events, he also teaches pastry classes from time to time.(so i read on the internet) I got a box of mixed petit four delights and everyone said they were Deeeeeelish!, Marie Antoinette would have delighted with the indulgence (too bad she lost her head) but most importantly MY FRIENDS are very happy with me and my resolve for finding a good pastry shop. Sorry I don't live here otherwise I'd be a dedicated patron! Merci, Gracias and Thanks For the Good Eats !

I recently ordered a birthday cake at this local bakery and have as well in the past from the owner, Chef David. His cakes are spot-on and at reasonable prices. It's a local small business that gives a personal touch not usually seen at the larger stores. Stop by, support a local merchant, and try not to fill up too much on his sweets during these holidays!
